*The listed punishments serve as a rough guideline for what punishments should be given out for each rule broken.* Staff, however, reserve the right to make whatever decision they deem to be just, when it comes to punishments given. *If you believe that a punishment given to you was unfair or unjust, please make an appeal ticket on our* [***discord***](https://discord.vexalmc.co) *in **#tickets** where it can be discussed further.*

It is your responsibility as a player to know the rules of the server and regularly check this document for any changes that have been made. Once changes to this document have been made they will apply to all offenses committed after the time of amendment.

Offenses that occur in /msg as well as /partychat are also subject to punishment if rules are found to be broken within there.

Punishments may differ from the usual punishments given if authorized by Senior Staff members.

# Chargebacks

A chargeback occurs when a payment is returned to a debit or credit card after a customer disputes a transaction.

Chargeback bans are final - please keep that in mind. If another player purchased an item for you and they charged back (you will be automatically banned), please appeal and the situation will be looked into. Unbans are not guaranteed.

Chargebacks from the store result in a ban, these are unable to be lifted as these are controlled by Tebex. Being banned on Tebex for chargebacks will result in a permanent ban from our server as well as being unable to make any future purchases on Tebex sites under your IGN or associated card number.

IRL scamming is when a player trades in game item/money for another player to purchase them something off our buycraft but one of them doesn’t follow through on the deal. Proof of the trade is required for action to be taken. Please either record yourself making the trade or take screenshots to protect yourself

# Laggy Farms or Lag Machines

Any excessively large farms, redstone systems/devices or anything else that causes lag is not allowed. Please be mindful of the server and those playing on it and don’t build massive farms.&#x20;

Creating a wall of water and placing lava over it in order to grief players or in attempts to lag the server i.e Cobble monster. Other examples of lag creating methods that are punishable but not limited to; excessive flying machines, intentionally creating pointless farms or redstone systems, machines that create a large amount of entities in one place.

# Exploiting/Bug Abusing

## Autoclicking

While AFK mining is allowed, using an autoclicker to grind mobs or using Macros are not. &#x20;

## Insiding Land Claims

Joining someone and getting them to add you to their land claim just so you can take either some or everything that they have and then leaving them is called insiding.  This is only punishable if you can provide proof of the player taking your items.&#x20;

## Griefing

Damaging other players structures without checking if it belongs to another player or knowingly damaging structures that belong to other players will result in the following punishments:

<mark style="color:red;">Note: It is your responsibility to protect your belongings/builds.  Use \`/kit claim\` for help if you don’t know how to do so. Do not rely on staff to replace/fix a grief/theft if you did not do your part first and claim your stuff!</mark>

## Shopping District Rules

1. If you claim a large plot (20x20) you must build some sort of structure/building that satisfies the expectations of Upper Staff. Failure to do this may result in the removal of your plot
2. Each player is only allowed to sell 2 family of items. Aka, a nether shop, an ores shop, a guardian shop, an end shop, etc.  Using too broad of a category for your family of items will not be allowed.  For example, saying you sell building blocks is too broad of a category as you can essentially sell every block in the game.  This is held at the discretion of Admin+
3. If someone wants to sell items from the same item family as another player who is already selling that item family, they are allowed to sell it as well, but at the same prices as the initial seller. Same prices are for both
4. While only 2 shops are allowed per player, using alts to bypass this restriction will not be tolerated.
5. Shops left unstocked for extended periods of time are subject to closure by Admin+ at their own discretion

# PSA

Do not join any town where you do not fully trust the town owner. The town owner (the mayor) has full control over the town. If at any point they decide to kick you for whatever reason, they can kick you and they don't have to give you anything that you contributed to the town. This also applies to builds you made in a town, the mayor has full right to destroy it or do whatever they want with it. If you do not like how a town is being run, just go make your own town and do it how you want to do it.

Theft in a town you are in with malicious intent, blowing stuff up, destroying builds, pouring lava/water everywhere, stealing everything, destroying, etc from your own team

## Alt Limit

Alts are allowed. There is no set limit on the number of alts within a town, just keep it within reason. Staff Reserve the right to ask you to remove some alts from your town if they see fit.

## Looting unclaimed base or ruined towns is allowed, make sure you keep your stuff claimed and your town balance positive

## No territorial claiming (claiming nearby another town and making a line to their town and/or surrounding them)

## Do not use alt accounts to claim kits...This is extremely unfair and abusive to the system in place.

# PSA

Do not join any town where you do not fully trust the town owner. The town owner (the mayor) has full control over the town. If at any point they decide to kick you for whatever reason, they can kick you and they don't have to give you anything that you contributed to the town. This also applies to builds you made in a town, the mayor has full right to destroy it or do whatever they want with it. If you do not like how a town is being run, just go make your own town and do it how you want to do it.


# Rules Regarding PvP/PvE

## AutoClicking

Using an autoclicker program on a hacked client, macro, or other program.  This also includes any keybinds or macros on your mouse or keyboard

# The Abyss Rules

1. Do not steal from or grief other player's islands.
2. Be respectful to other players.
3. Do not damage any nether portals that don't belong to you.
4. All end portals must be blocked off from visitor access.
5. Do not harm or kill any entities at other's islands or the spawn.
6. Do not give players items or trade if it breaks their progression.
7. No CPU intensive farms. If you are not sure, ask staff.
8. No duplication of items, hacked clients, or similar cheats


# Staff Rules

If you see any of these rules being broken by a staff member, please create a Staff Report with sufficient valid proof

* Using their title to get an advantage
* Leaking any Staff Chats or private information
